Composition of the Members' Council
The Members' Council accurately reflects our membership. For the Council to function effectively, we need committed members willing to invest time and energy into our cooperative. If you are interested in serving, please send us an email.
How the inflow and outflow of the Members' Council work
The Members' Council began on 1 January 2019 with 42 members. Members serve four-year terms and may be reappointed for another term. In exceptional cases, an extended reappointment of two additional two-year terms may be possible. The Nomination Committee determines if an exceptional situation justifies an extended reappointment.
To prevent a complete turnover at once, a Resignation is used to evenly distribute member transitions over the years. Currently, three members are nominated for reappointment andmay serve for another four years. Two members are up for extended reappointment and are eligible for an additional two years.
Four members will retire according to the retirement schedule. The aim is for the Members' Council to have between 35 and 45 members, ensuring it represents the broader membership well. Members of the Council may also resign mid-term.
