Explanation of rates

The Members’ Council took the initiative to develop the member packs and assessed the contents of the packs repeatedly in member sessions. The pricing for each pack is the responsibility of the Royal FloraHolland company, which coordinates with the Members’ Council in this regard.

In the member packs, the more you focus for your sales on a specific trading method, the sharper the rate for clearing your transactions with this trading method becomes. We briefly explain the differences in rates for each pack.

The rates now listed for all packages are for 2023. The tariffs for 2024 will be finalised in consultation with the Council of Members at the end of December.

1. Direct focus
Because you cannot use the clock or clock presale and only sell your flowers or plants directly, you will get the most competitive rate for direct transactions.

2. Direct flex
Your sales strategy focuses primarily on direct sales, but you also want the security of access to the auction and auction-presales at your convenience. For this flexibility, you pay a slightly higher rate for your direct transactions than with Direct focus, but a lower rate than with auction flex. Therefore, in this pack you also pay a higher rate for auction pre-sales and auction trades because here too you want flexibility in using these trading methods.

3. Auction flex
Your sales strategy focuses primarily on auction and auction pre-sales, but you also want the flexibility of direct sales. You would like to combine these sales methods optimally. For this flexibility, you pay a slightly higher rate for your direct transactions than with Direct flex, but a lower rate for auction pre-sales and auction transactions.

4. Auction focus
Your sales strategy focuses primarily on auction and auction pre-sales, but you also want the flexibility of direct sales. You like to combine these sales methods optimally. You value a fixed point of contact with auctioneers and judges. You also want the room to move at your own pace with digitalisation and other changes in our services in the coming years. The rate for this pack will remain the same as auction flex in 2024. After that, in consultation with the Council of Members, we will look at how we guarantee the extra value of this package compared to the other packages in the rates. This is partly because we make exceptions for you in, for example, using Floriday. And you will soon be exempt from more obligations with this pack.
