Together with buyers, we are taking significant steps in the transition from Remote Buying (KOA) to future-proof auctioning via Floriday. Phase 1, during which we are making preparations within Floriday, is in full swing and nearing completion. We are looking forward to phase 2, in which we will be converting the technology behind KOA. Later this autumn, in phase 3, we will actually switch to buying via RFH Auction through Floriday.

Important step: new KOA release

A new version of KOA has been available since 27 May. This update is an important and necessary step towards Auctioning via Floriday. Buyers now have the option to log in to Floriday at the same time as logging in to KOA. With this dual login step and the new test clocks, buyers can check whether they are ready for Phase 2.

Phase 2 starts on 1 July

In phase 2, we will be migrating the technology behind KOA, clock by clock, to Floriday. Buyers should not notice any difference, apart from the fact that they will be required to log in twice. They will continue to buy via KOA as usual.
For auctioneers, however, there will be some changes. Behind the scenes, they will start working with the new RFH Auction auctioneer module – the new clock on Floriday.

Suppliers who use Clockview will also switch in phases from 1 July from Clockview to RFH Auction View on Floriday to view the clock.

Phase 2 implementation schedule

In phase 2, we are also deliberately opting for a careful and phased approach. This allows us to keep trading stable and limit risks. We are scaling up step by step. We are starting with a local Naaldwijk clock and expanding from one clock to all clocks at Naaldwijk. We will then move on to Rijnsburg, starting again with one clock before converting all clocks. In this way, we will eventually move from the local Aalsmeer clocks to all central clocks.

Working together towards a future-proof auction

We are building, step by step, a future-proof way of auctioning, in which stability and continuity are paramount. With this approach, we ensure that the transition runs smoothly. Here you can find more information about Auctioning via Floriday.
