More and more growers are using Floriday Daytrade to make their products visible to buyers at an early stage. This functionality offers them the opportunity to increase their market reach and better align with the logistical processes within the supply chain. Winco Holland is one of the companies that supplies daily with Daytrade and experiences clear advantages.

By placing products on the market with Daytrade before they are sent to the Royal FloraHolland hubs, an additional purchasing opportunity is created in day trade. This gives buyers earlier access to a full range of products and a wider choice of delivery times. For growers, this means an increase in transactions.

A company focused on continuity and quality
Winco Holland is a family business that has developed in recent years into a modern supplier with a wide and varied range. From its trading location in the Netherlands and production in Spain, the company serves a growing group of customers. ‘We combine Spanish quality with Dutch service,’ says Bart. ‘Fast delivery, flexible response to customer wishes and an up-to-date, inspiring range: that's what we stand for.’

Logistical strength through finely meshed services
Winco Holland's distinctive strength lies in the combination of an up-to-date range and finely meshed logistical execution. With multiple deliveries per day, the company can deliver quickly and respond flexibly to customer needs. ‘Orders received early in the morning via Floriday Daytrade are handled immediately and delivered to the relevant hubs that same morning. These short turnaround times contribute to consistent service and higher delivery reliability,’ says Bart.

Taking advantage of day trade with Daytrade
Every day, Winco Holland places a wide range of products in Daytrade. The products are first offered online and only sent to the selected hubs after they have been sold. "We put our wide range of products online directly from the farm. The products are offered at several RFH hubs and we only send the quantities sold to the hub. We accept Daytrade orders until 6 a.m., order picking the products and ensuring that they are at the hubs before 9 a.m. to be distributed. You can see that the transactions take place in those early hours. In this way, we ensure that we make the most of our purchasing power."

Reaching new buyers
For Winco Holland, Daytrade also means reaching new buyers, including lots that normally buy mainly through the clock or auction presales. ‘Floriday Daytrade opens up new markets for us. We now also reach buyers who normally only purchase via the clock or Auction Presales. Our niche range is new to this group of buyers. In addition, our wide range and fast delivery are a big plus. Buyers see the offer earlier and can act faster.’

Working together on a future-proof supply chain
Royal FloraHolland continues to invest in further digitisation and improvement of supply chain processes with Floriday. Winco Holland sees this development as an important basis for a more efficient sector. ‘Automation of processes, better integration of software packages and more cooperation between growers, buyers and logistics partners. That is what will benefit the sector and where we at Winco can make a difference. It's great that Floriday is listening. In this way, we are working together to build a digital, efficient future for the floriculture sector,’ says Bart.
