Consequences of Paardekooper's bankruptcy for suppliers and members of Royal FloraHolland

Royal FloraHolland regrets the bankruptcy of Paardekooper and wish everyone involved the best of luck. As far as we can tell right now, the situation around Paardekooper Royal FloraHolland itself is pretty limited, but some of our members, suppliers, and maybe even their customers are more affected. They'll have to find alternatives for the single-use packaging they got directly from Paardekooper.

For information about current orders or stocks held by Paardekooper, please contact the account managers at Paardekooper itself. They can explain the current state of affairs to affected parties in the floriculture sector. Paardekooper itself states the following in contact with Royal FloraHolland's Transport Packaging department: 

"In consultation with the receivers and the pledgees, the aim is to continue deliveries temporarily with the aim of being able to (continue to) supply customers where this is possible within the limits of the situation that has arisen. We are also investigating whether a restart of (parts of) the company is feasible. However, in the current situation, delivery is only possible if sufficient assurance is obtained that all outstanding invoices – not only for the goods to be delivered, but also from the past – will be paid in full and on time."

Those affected will need to look for alternatives for the single use packaging they previously purchased directly from Paardekooper. Members, suppliers and their customers are primarily responsible for finding other suppliers themselves. Where Royal FloraHolland can offer support from its own single-use product range, this is of course possible.
