New label for CC containers in January 2025
October 10, 2024
Since 2019, a green/orange CC TAG5 (lock) label has been attached to all CC containers with a contract. To keep the pool system fair and guarantee quality, Container Centralen Nederland regularly replaces the label. At the beginning of January 2025, all CC containers will receive the new CC TAG6 label.
On Monday 6 January 2025, all CC containers that are part of the CC pool must have the new CC TAG6 label. From this date onwards, Royal FloraHolland will only accept CC containers with the new label in combination with the metal CC plate at its CC depots. To achieve this, a ‘relabelling campaign’ will take place at the beginning of January.
Why a new label?
The strength of the CC pool lies in the interchangeability of CC containers between customers and users. To keep the CC pool system fair and protect against illegal inflows, it is necessary to replace the CC TAG label regularly. By doing so, Container Centralen excludes illegal and unregistered containers from the CC pool and prevents the influx of lower quality containers.
The new CC TAG6 label is designed with the latest RFID technology, making it easier to identify which containers legally belong to the CC pool. Container Centralen will announce later what this new label will look like and its colour.
‘Relabelling campaign’ in Royal FloraHolland CC depots
At the Royal FloraHolland CC depots, we will also start working on the CC ‘relabelling campaign’. This will take place in the weekend of 4 and 5 January 2025. From 6 January 2025, we will only accept and issue CC containers in our CC depots that have the new CC TAG6 label attached. You will receive more information about what this means for you and how we will operate in our CC depots in the second half of November 2024.
