What are the main trends in the floriculture sector?
As a cooperative, we believe it is important to know what is going on with our members (growers) and buyers of flowers and plants. That is why we survey their needs twice a year. Our second trend report on the floriculture sector answers questions such as: How do growers and buyers view the future of flowers and plants? What opportunities do they see, and what challenges do they face? Royal FloraHolland uses these insights to implement improvements and work together to build an innovative, sustainable and future-proof sector.
This report presents the results of a statistically representative survey of growers and buyers in the Netherlands and abroad, conducted by an independent agency. It offers an up-to-date view of two important themes: digitalisation and sustainability.
We also share Royal FloraHolland's vision on these developments. Together, these insights form a barometer of the sector: where are we now, and where are we headed?
