Scanning CC labels

We check CC-TAG6 labels on CC containers by scanning them for authenticity.

Royal FloraHolland supports the proper functioning of the CC pool with the measures listed below. In addition to scanning the CC TAG6 labels, we also check for the presence of the iron “plate”, the quality of the base and the presence of four posts (of the correct length).

Physical check for incoming flows

When we receive CC containers at our CC depots, we check all of them for the presence and validity of CC TAG6 labels. We do this by scanning the labels. If a CC container has a label that cannot be scanned, we replace it if this is due to an error in how it was attached or if it concerns a limited number of non-scannable labels. We record the replaced labels in the registration system, stating the relevant delivery note number. If there are too many non-scannable labels, we may decide not to accept the entire batch (or part of the batch) of CC containers and return the CC containers to the user. We will then remove the non-scannable CC TAG6 labels from the rejected CC containers and confiscate them.

Sending unscannable labels

We send all replaced and confiscated labels to Container Centralen in Hoofddorp to be investigated. Container Centralen takes legal action against offenders if deemed necessary.

Overview of CC containers and unscannable CC TAG6 labels

You can find the registration of the balance of unscannable labels in three places:
  • Transaction receipt (upon return).
  • Transaction statement (weekly).
  • Logistic Supplies Online (real time).
The balance of non-scannable labels does not represent an actual number of CC containers (no credit, for example), but only indicates the number of labels that have been replaced. It informs the user and Royal FloraHolland about the number of non-scannable labels that have been presented.
