Your benefits
- You can authorise SWIFT or SEPA.
- A deposit or bank guarantee, in line with your (expected) trading behaviour, is required.
- Payment can be made in euros.
- Paying on account gives you options not available in an eWallet.
- Various financial arrangements are negotiable.
What are the costs?
There are fees associated with handling SEPA and SWIFT transactions. You can read more about this on the Rates page under 'Financial settlement'. Check with your bank whether you can pay by SEPA or Swift.
How does it work?
Buying on account means that within 48 hours of your purchase, the amount will be taken from your account by direct debit. If you indicate that you wish to pay on account by means of a SEPA or SWIFT mandate, we will ask you for securities in the form of a deposit or bank guarantee. This is because we offer 100% payment guarantee to our suppliers. With these securities, you indicate your ability to meet your payment obligations for clock sales and direct trade. The amount of the deposit or bank guarantee depends on the quantities you want to purchase on the marketplace. If you are a new buyer, we will work with you to estimate the maximum amount and volume you expect to buy on your busiest day. For existing buyers, we check daily whether this estimate still matches your trading behaviour in practice. If not, we will increase or decrease the amount of the deposit or bank guarantee in consultation with you.
Pay with SEPA or SWIFT
You can pay in four ways when buying on account. Check with your bank whether you can pay by SEPA or Swift.
SWIFT Sure (*3)
You pay by giving SWIFT power of attorney to Royal FloraHolland.
You submit a bank guarantee or deposit.
SWIFT Insured (*1) (*3)
You pay by giving SWIFT power of attorney to Royal FloraHolland.
Royal FloraHolland insures the debtor risk.
SEPA Sure (*2) (*3)
Royal FloraHolland collects with a SEPA B2B direct debit.
You submit a bank guarantee or deposit.
SEPA Insured (*1) (*2) (*3)
Royal FloraHolland collects with a SEPA B2B direct debit.
Royal FloraHolland insures the debtor risk.
*1: Use of this payment option is subject to acceptance by the credit insurer.
*2: With SEPA B2B, the money will be debited from your account later. Royal FloraHolland receives payment security later, increasing the payment risk.
*3: The rates are reset every year.
Deferred payment
Are you paying by direct debit authorisation? Then, subject to conditions, you can pay for your purchases in direct trade after 7, 14, 21 or 28 days instead of within 48 hours. It helps you keep your credit limit with the bank free for other investments.
