Key rates changes for 2026 buyers

November 26, 2025

Orchidee

We would like to inform buyers on the Royal FloraHolland platform, about the rates that will apply to them from 1 January 2026. These rates have been carefully considered by the management and agreed with the various customer platforms for buyers.

Changes for 2026

We have summarised the most important information about the rates applicable from 1 January 2026 for you below:

  • The marketplace contribution for direct sales will remain €1,000 for main numbers and €500 for sub-numbers.
  • The service charge for direct flows will not be increased and will therefore remain the same as the rate for 2025.
  • The suspension of the service charge for direct orders placed and/or financially settled via Floriday will be extended, as was the case last year.
  • The transaction charge for purchases at the clock will increase from €1.85 to €1.91 per transaction.
  • The rates for the financial settlement of orders, such as the use of an eWallet, will not be increased and will remain the same as they are now.
  • New volume limits will apply to the ‘buyer-to-buyer settlements’ service. This will result in five scales in 2026, compared to seven at present. The rates for the first and second scales will increase from 1% to 1.20% and from 0.8% to 0.9% respectively.
  • The rental rates for box and office space will increase by 2.9% (CPI index¹) in accordance with the contract.
  • The rates for transport packaging will be increased by an average of 1.5%. The rates for lock plates will remain unchanged.
  • In consultation with the Customer Platform, the kick-back fee will remain €0.01 in 2026 for all logistical resources that currently have a kick-back fee. The earlier plan to completely discontinue the kick-back in 2026 will not be implemented. Instead, Royal FloraHolland will increase the rental rate for all reusable plant trays and all reusable buckets by €0.01 for buyers. This also applies to the Fc577 and Fc588, for which no kick-back fee currently exists. We will not be increasing the rental prices for racks and reusable flower boxes, and the kickback for these logistics resources will also remain unchanged.
  • Energy rates will be reduced at all hubs except the Eelde hub. The grid charge will decrease at Naaldwijk and increase slightly at Rijnsburg and Aalsmeer. The fixed rate at Eelde will increase from €48.67 to €50.13.
  • All other rates will increase by an average of 3.0% (according to the DPI index²).

Advance notice of imbalance surcharge CCs VRM

The intention is to introduce a surcharge at the beginning of 2026 for buyers who cause a significant imbalance of CCs on Veiling Rhein-Maas (VRM). This is intended to cover the additional imbalance transport costs between VRM and the RFH hubs Naaldwijk, Rijnsburg and Aalsmeer.

This surcharge will only be charged to the largest causes of imbalance. Buyers who cause little or no imbalance will not pay this surcharge. Once this surcharge has been finalised, further communication will follow.
