From 4 to 6 November 2025, we celebrated the milestone 25th edition of the Trade Fair Aalsmeer – a truly successful anniversary event that fills us with pride.

Impressive figures and new collaborations
Across an exhibition space of 29,000 m², 693 exhibitors showcased their latest assortments, innovations, and concepts. A striking trend this year was the rise of collective stands – spaces jointly designed and staffed by multiple growers. This development highlights the growing spirit of collaboration and synergy within our sector.

An international stage
With nearly 22,000 visitors from no fewer than 142 countries, the fair once again confirmed its position as Royal FloraHolland’s leading international floriculture event. While most visitors came from Europe (89.1%), we also welcomed guests from North and South America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania (10.9%).

A spectacular anniversary celebration
The opening day featured a visual spectacle: a singer performing suspended seven meters above the crowd with the song Flowers. David van Mechelen, CEO a.i. of Royal FloraHolland, reflected on the fair’s remarkable growth over the years. Deputy mayor Sven Spaargaren expressed his appreciation and presented a festive gift – a porcelain flower vase for the reception area at Royal FloraHolland’s Aalsmeer office.

Sustainability in the spotlight
Another highlight was the presentation of the very first Royal FloraHolland Sustainability Award. Winner Handelskwekerij Bruinen BV impressed the jury with their innovative biological crop protection using mini-spiders, aptly named ‘Little Spider’. These natural allies combat pests such as thrips and aphids, reducing the need for chemical agents. Second and third place went to Holla Roses BV/Ziway Roses PLC and J&P ten Have, recognized for their circular flower cultivation and technology for natural growth regulation.

Shaping the future together
The Trade Fair Aalsmeer 2025 was not only a celebration of our past but, above all, a glimpse into the future of floriculture. With innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration as guiding principles, we look back on an inspiring edition.
