FPC Rose on a study trip to Kenya
September 26, 2025

The Flower Product Committees (FPCs) are a cornerstone of our cooperative, ensuring growers’ interests are well represented while keeping a close eye on market developments. With both national and international members, the FPC Rose brings together perspectives across borders to strengthen the position of roses in the global marketplace.
In week 38, the FPC Rose undertook a visit to Kenya, engaging with farms, freight forwarders, breeders, and the local team at Royal FloraHolland. The program provided valuable insights into local production, sustainability initiatives, and logistical challenges, while highlighting Kenya’s pivotal role in supplying roses worldwide.
Working with the local office
The collaboration between FPC Rose and the local Royal FloraHolland office in Kenya was a major factor in the success of the visit. Our Nairobi team coordinated key meetings with stakeholders such as Kuehne+Nagel and Airflo, creating opportunities for constructive dialogue on logistics and trade flows.
The committee gained insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the rose industry in Kenya. Meetings with growers and partners on site are beneficial for the FPC Rose to strengthen the bridge between members, the Members' Council and Royal FloraHolland from within the FPC.
