Rob from Greensales: ‘Craftsmanship and conviviality at the fair.’

 

The 25th edition of the Trade Fair Aalsmeer is a milestone in the sector. A great moment to reminisce and look to the future. We do this with exhibitors, visitors and the organisation. Connect to grow is what the fair is all about and what emerges from the stories. “The conviviality and so many growers and exhibitors under one roof is why I have been attending the fair since 2001,” says Rob Batist of Greensales.

 

‘I first attended the trade fair in 2001 with Ficus Forever. From 2006 onwards, I attended under the name Green Sales & Promotions. At the time, it was more of an order fair where you mainly wrote orders. Over the years, this has increasingly changed into a trade fair where you maintain relationships, promote products and your company, and make new contacts,’ says Rob Batist. Rob Batist, Peet van Luijk and Fabian Noordermeer together form Greensales. Green Sales & Promotions is a platform that helps growers with advice on sales strategies and promotional campaigns tailored to the product and nursery.

 

All parties come together

The fact that buyers, growers and value-added suppliers from the UK and abroad come together at the Trade Fair Aalsmeer is a great added value for them. Rob: "I think it's great that we can reconnect and expand the contacts with end customers that we established years ago at the fair. Both they and we still benefit from this. I am therefore a big supporter of a large trade fair in the spring and a trade fair in the autumn."
