Peak in figures: June and the entire peak

July 10, 2025

Piek in cijfers june 2025
June was the month of the NATO summit. Royal FloraHolland took several measures to ensure that logistics ran as smoothly as possible. These measures were successful: thanks to the adjustments that were made, we were able to provide a good service.
June is also the last month of the peak period. On the day after Pentecost, 10 June, there was an early auction day at all hubs. What made this month special was that there was an extra early auction day on Wednesday 25 June due to the NATO summit on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 June.

The clock turnover in June amounted to €142,815,626. Compared to June 2024, this represented a decrease of 16.1%. The number of products traded through the clock was higher (+11.2%) than last year, at 398,798,851 items. The average price was €0.36 (-24.6%). Prices were significantly higher last year due to weather conditions. The weather was poor and summer started late, resulting in good prices. This month, prices fell just above the 2023 level.

Results
A total of 8.1% fewer clock trolleys and 18.5% fewer direct trolleys were delivered compared to June 2024. The probable reason for this is more efficient loading of trolleys, different use of packaging and the fact that order picking allows several veil groups to be placed on one trolley.
The number of clock transactions ended at just under 2 million. This is more than 300,000 lower than in June 2024. Delivery reliability (the number of transactions delivered without complaints) was high in the past month, averaging 99.8%.

What went well
· High delivery reliability; an average of 99.8% clock transactions without complaints
· Good, smooth service during the NATO summit week
· No significant clock disruptions at the hubs
· 100% availability of logistics resources. No internal night hire was necessary.
· The clock process at the three export locations experienced few to no disruptions, with an uptime percentage of 99.95%.

Room for improvement
· No special issues this time

The entire peak period
The month of July marks the end of the peak period. We can look back on a good peak period, during which we were able to deliver our services on time and to a high standard. Over the entire peak period, more than 99% of our products were delivered on time in clock logistics.

In direct logistics, we delivered more than 98% of transactions on time this year. No fewer than 248 peak assistants helped us to provide the best possible service to our customers. Thank you for all your help, let's peak together!
