Peter Bommel appointed as member of the Supervisory Board Royal FloraHolland
June 19, 2025

Peter Bommel will be appointed member of the Supervisory Board (SB) of Royal FloraHolland, the leading international cooperative of flowers and plants, from 1 January 2026. This was decided at the formal members' meeting of Royal FloraHolland's Members' Council on 19 June. He succeeds Pascal Visée, whose term expires at the end of 2025. Peter Bommel will also assume the role of chair of the Audit Committee in his role as commissioner. He is appointed for a period of four years.
With the arrival of Peter Bommel, Royal FloraHolland brings in an experienced executive with broad international experience as CEO and CFO. Peter worked at Deloitte for a long time where, among other things, he held the position of CEO of Deloitte Netherlands and was a member of Deloitte's Global Board. He was also, among other things, CEO of MetaCorp Group, a family-owned company with a long history. His appointment is in line with the cooperative's strategic direction, in which Royal FloraHolland's platform will continue to grow both digitally and logistically.
Chair of the SB, Evert van Helvoort, on the appointment: "It is with great pleasure that I welcome Peter Bommel to Royal FloraHolland. His broad background in various sectors combined with his international managerial expertise in strategy, finance and innovation make him a valuable addition to our SB. So we expect Peter to be a good addition to the SB. We thank Pascal Visée for his years of dedication and valuable contribution to the Audit Committee and the SB as a whole."
Peter Bommel: "Royal FloraHolland is a leading international platform for flowers and plants. It is precisely the combination of the long history of more than 100 years from its original Dutch roots combined with the digitisation drive and international growth that appeal to me. With my broad background and experience, I look forward to contributing to the future and further development of Royal FloraHolland as commissioner. The floriculture industry is making innovative strides and I look forward to continuing to build together and see its ambitions come to fruition."
