Auction via Floriday goes live in Eelde

As of last week, we are officially auctioning via Floriday at our hub in Eelde. The clock is an important buying and selling method for many of our customers. In order to future-proof the clock, we have introduced RFH Auction in Eelde. This is an app on Floriday that allows buyers to easily buy on the clock.
Eelde as a testing ground
With buyers in Eelde, we have been working on the Auction app step by step over the past period. The local team in Eelde organised several training sessions and test auctions. Thanks to feedback from buyers, a number of functionalities have already been added to RFH Auction immediately. On a number of quiet auction days, auctions were held via RFH Auction for the first time. The experiences were positive. Buyers were able to make their purchases and sentiment was also good. Since 28 November, we have officially been auctioning via Floriday in Eelde.
Buyers satisfied
"Such a complicated process as developing such a complicated app and implementing it so well and having it go live, that deserves a very big pat on the back for the developers and all the people at the nicest flower auction in the north of Holland in Eelde! Chapeau! Of course there is room for improvement, but it's great to see what we have now," says Bernhardus Annen of BenFleuri from Hoogeveen.
Joachim Miller of Blumen-Garten Miller from Brünsbuttel, Germany, is also enthusiastic: "The new clock system is great, good overview, better pictures and easier to use. I like it better than before".
Future-proof platform
"We are working step by step towards the expansion of Floriday as the platform for the entire floriculture sector" says Thomas Bugel, site manager Eelde. "With the launch of RFH Auction, the app for auctioning, we have taken a big step. For doing auction preparation, such as viewing and marking clock offerings, we also recently launched the RFH Pre-Auction app. With this, we are gradually saying goodbye to outdated systems such as Remote Buying (KOA) and FloraMondo (FMO). Through Floriday, we can offer buyers more and more new purchasing options."

Next steps
The fact that we are now auctioning in Eelde through RFH Auction is a milestone. At the same time, it is a starting point. Because we will continue to continuously develop the app based on user feedback. At the moment, there is no decision yet on when RFH Auction will be introduced at the other hubs Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk and Rijnsburg. This is expected to be in 2025.
