The FSI Board approved an adapted schedule for small-scale grower certification following the consultation process. This marks the next step towards 100% sustainability certification by 2027. This scheme incorporates input from small-scale growers, including adapting and simplifying the scheme's criteria and rules. There is a specific focus on reducing administrative burdens and costs.

Last summer, much progress was made in the development of the small-scale grower schedule. A working group consisting of FSI, GLOBALG.A.P., MPS and Royal FloraHolland presented the modified schedule to growers over the summer. Thanks to the input of this group, adjustments took place and a schedule emerged that was approved by the FSI board. The small-scale grower schedule allows small-scale growers to meet FSI requirements with a schedule specifically coordinated to their business operations.

In the coming months, the final schedule will be further prepared for use by the schedule holders and certifying bodies so that they are expected to be offered by the schedule holders MPS and GLOBALG.A.P to small-scale growers by the end of this year.
