Auction clock presales daily turnover breaks record again

May is an important month for you as growers and buyers, and therefore for us. This is because in that month, most countries celebrate Mother's Day. On 6 May 2024, we broke the daily turnover record for Auction clock presales with a turnover of €2,704,162. Heading into Polish, French and Swedish Mother's Day, we broke the record again last Tuesday 21 May with €2,907,577. A more than fine result for the sector.


More records broken
Also on the auction clock and direct sales front, we look back at a record number of transactions of 315,744 on 21 May 2024. This broke the old record of 314,244 transactions from spring 2021. On the auction clock, a total of 199,929 transactions were made and that too is a new record. The old record of 187,308 transactions dated from May 2021.

The number of auction clock transactions at hub Aalsmeer is also significantly higher at 95,700 compared to the old record of 86,922 auction clock transactions. number of transactions of 315,744 on May 21, 2024. Logistics was prepared
 We could not predict the records, but we could see the high volumes coming. Therefore, we announced an early auction day for 21 May. Both auction and logistics delivery processes started as early as 5:00 am. Thanks to that decision, we delivered most auction clock transactions before 2pm. With a delivery reliability of 99.8%, we can also look back on a successful day logistically.

Other great results
Finally, we put some other figures in a row for you from last tuesday. Daily turnover on the auction clock achieved 2nd place in terms of highest daily turnover ever with €19,408,238. The daily turnover on direct sales achieved 4th place in terms of highest daily turnover ever with €27,082,689.

That makes total daily turnover added up to finish in 3rd place with € 46,490,927. In short, we look back on a very successful day for the entire sector.
