Are you ready for the transition arrangements for the returnable deposit on the Fc519 flower box?

January 8, 2024

FC519 FC520
The deposit on the Fc519 flower box will change from €3 to €5 from Monday, 15 January 2024. To achieve this, we have introduced a new packaging code (Fc520) and a 're-stickering' campaign is underway. You can visit our packaging depots from Monday, 8 January 2024 to collect the Fc520 and, of course, return as many Fc519 flower boxes as possible. This article explains the most important information about the transition for you.

The 're-stickering' campaign is taking place at all Royal FloraHolland’s physical hubs, as well as at Veiling Rhein-Maas and Plantion. In our previous news items Transition arrangements for returnable deposit on Fc519 flower box and Deposit increase on Fc519 flower box from mid-January 2024 we have already explained how the re-stickering campaign is going and how you can prepare for it. Furthermore, we have updated the FAQ Transition arrangements for returnable deposit on Fc519 flower box with even more relevant and practical information.

Growers help us and supply in Fc520 boxes

Our goal is to switch the supply via Auction and Direct entirely to Fc520 by Monday, 15 January 2024. In the week of 15 January 2024, you can still supply any remaining* Fc519 boxes. After this transition week, we will no longer permit supply of Fc519 and will be enforcing this accordingly. In this way, we will keep the transition period as short as possible for all parties in the chain.

Buyers help us and hand in Fc519 boxes
To ensure a smooth process at our packaging locations, we ask our customers to temporarily hand in Fc519 and Fc520 boxes separately by auction trolley. How can you recognise the Fc519 and Fc520 boxes? The base plays a determining factor in this. View the examples here and the flyer for clarification.
