We are now in the middle of the implementation process of central auction rose. The first step, adjusting and equalising all auction groups, was successfully completed on 2 November. The next step is to supplement the first central flower clock C06 with supply from Rijnsburg. This step is scheduled for 16 November.

Step 1: auction group adjustments reduced impact for buyers
"Adjusting all auction groups was a complex issue, especially internally. But by making all
auction groups in advance, the impact for buyers later during the transition to central auction rose is much smaller. We are happy that everything went smoothly and according to plan, on to the next step," said Léon Haasbroek, Manager Operations Dealmaking.

Step 2: expand central clock C06 with supply from Rijnsburg
From 16 November, the product groups alstroemeria, strelitzia, cymbidium, cut anthurium,
phalaenopsis and the remaining cut orchids will no longer be auctioned on local clocks in Rijnsburg. From then on they will merge into the current central clock C06, where supplies from Naaldwijk and Aalsmeer are currently are auctioned. This is an important moment, as it means we are testing the technology of central auctioning across three physical hubs (locations). Central clock C06 will be the first clock where we will digitally centralise the supply from 3 hubs digitally centralise on one central auction clock. An important step towards achieving optimal pricing.

Please note: auction schedule changes Naaldwijk and Rijnsburg on 15 and 16 November
As we are in the middle of the implementation phase of central auctioning, several changes are required. On 15 and 16 November, there will be some major changes to the Rijnsburg auction schedules. In Naaldwijk clock N07 will be switched to clock N05 on 15 November. On 23 November, we will continue with step 3, the start of the first central rose clock C07. Then there are a number of auction schedule changes.

In 4 steps to central auction rose
We will use the whole month of November to make all preparations in 4 steps to eventually
auction all roses centrally. In doing so, we are fulfilling the wish of many suppliers. These are the steps we are taking:

2 November - Adjusting (equalising) auction groups - successfully completed
16 November - C06 is supplemented with supply from Rijnsburg
23 November - Start of rose auction clock C07 with (only) auction group 200
30 November - All roses auctioned via central clocks
