Youth Council team day: great plans made for the future
August 25, 2023

On 30 June, the Youth Council team day took place at the Hoge Veluwe. Great plans for the next six months were made, and we reflected on the change of chairmanship. Of course, there was also time for some relaxation.
Among other things, we considered a working visit in September. A suggestion was made to visit a logistics company to see how the logistics processes work there. The working visits are a great time to catch up and spar with each other as entrepreneurs and, of course, to gain knowledge about other companies. However, it is essential not to spend too much time on the visit, so that it’s easy to combine with work at home.
Big event in early January
We are organising a big event for young entrepreneurs with several other agricultural cooperatives in early January. The exact details of this event will be fleshed out shortly, but what is certain is that there will also be an interesting programme for 'The Next Gen'. Several young people from the Youth Council will participate in the working group for this event, so if you have any cool ideas, feel free to share them with us.
We also reflected on the change of chairmanship within the Youth Council. Every six months, the Youth Council elects a new chair. This quick rotation was chosen to give everyone a chance to gain experience with the chairmanship. Bianca van Eijk has held this role for the past six months, for which we have thanked her warmly. André van der Valk has now picked up the baton. We also discussed new members for the Youth Council. A number of members are stepping down at the end of this year, so we are looking for new, enthusiastic candidates for next year. Want to know more about the work within the Youth Council? Bike tour, guided tour and dinner
Of course, there was also time for some relaxation. We were guests that day at the Hoge Veluwe, which is the perfect location for a walk or bike ride. After discussing all the substantive issues, we got on our bikes and headed towards Jachthuis Sint Hubertus. There, we had an interesting guided tour, learning more about the history of the Hoge Veluwe Park and the Hunting Lodge. We ended the day with dinner.
We can now look forward to the next six months full of enthusiasm. We hope to see you all again soon!
