From 11 July to 20 August 2025, there will be fewer lanes available on the A4 and the lanes will be narrowed. This is due to major maintenance work being carried out during the holiday period on part of the A4 between the De Hoek and Burgerveen junctions. The maximum speed during the entire period will be 70 kilometres per hour.
There is an increased risk of traffic jams on the routes (both directions) between the Aalsmeer hub and the Naaldwijk-Rijnsburg hubs. Access roads 3 and 3a to the A4 will be closed during this period due to the roadworks. Rijkswaterstaat will divert traffic via the A9-A2-A12 as much as possible. The route from Aalsmeer to Naaldwijk-Rijnsburg is accessible via the N201 (Waterwolftunnel) > N232 (Fokkerweg) > A9 > Badhoevedorp junction > A4. Please take delays into account. The route from the A4 to the Aalsmeer hub will remain open via the N201.
