New surcharges for CCs at Veiling Rhein-Maas from the end of February 2026
January 28, 2026
On Friday, February 27, 2026, Royal FloraHolland will introduce two new surcharges for contacts who work with CCs at Veiling Rhein-Maas (VRM). These measures are intended to pass on the rising costs of handling and imbalance specifically to those responsible. This will enable us to avoid a general price increase for CC users at all hubs.
In recent years, Royal FloraHolland has seen the costs of handling CCs at VRM rise rapidly. Until now, all users have paid for the rising costs. With the introduction of these two surcharges, we will pass on the additional costs specifically to those responsible for causing them. The “VRM CC Handling” surcharge applies to everyone who supplies CCs to VRM. The “VRM CC Imbalance Contribution” surcharge applies to all RFH contacts that supply, buy, collect, or return CC’s via VRM.
Explanation of new surcharges
“VRM CC Handling” surcharge
The surcharge covers the differences in handling costs between VRM and RFH hubs. This surcharge applies to every CC base (clock and clock service) supplied via VRM and amounts to € 0.40.
“VRM CC Imbalance Contribution” surcharge
We pay the basic costs for all imbalance transport from the collective. The new surcharge of € 0.50 per base compensates for the additional transport costs incurred due to imbalances in CC flows from VRM back to the RFH hubs. We only charge this surcharge to the largest contributors to imbalances in CCs on VRM.
We expect that users who keep their CC flows on VRM in balance will pay little or nothing for this “VRM CC Imbalance Contribution” surcharge.
