Phase 1 of the auctioning via Floriday rollout begins

April 14, 2026

RFH Auction edit 3

Together with Floriday, we are building a single digital platform for the entire floriculture sector. A future-proof approach to auctions is part of that. That is why we are phasing out outdated systems such as Remote Buying (KOA) step by step and developing two new apps on Floriday. This way, you have a clear overview of all trading in one place. We are now starting phase 1 of the rollout of auctioning via Floriday, during which we will make the necessary preparations.

Why? Crucial for continuity.

The current Remote Buying system (KOA) has been in use since the late 1990s. This technology is outdated and comes with limitations and risks, such as the possibility of malfunctions or system failures. Floriday’s infrastructure is built using new technology, which works seamlessly via a web browser. Thanks to further digitalisation, we can implement new services and functionalities more quickly. This ensures we remain a strong and reliable floriculture marketplace in the future.

How? Auctions via Floriday with 2 apps

If you wish to buy at the clock in future, you will use two apps on Floriday:

RFH Pre-Auction – for viewing and marking the clock supply. For the past year, we have been introducing clock buyers to this step by step. This allows buyers to get used to the new way of working in advance. Read Celdomy’s experiences with RFH Pre-Auction here.

RFH Auction – the future space on Floriday where you can bid on the auction clock. We are currently working hard on new user-friendly designs for the clock, for both dealing room and laptop users. Various tests have already been carried out together with buyers. We are very pleased with the positive enthusiasm among buyers to help with testing. Only together can we make this a success!

Transition from KOA to Floriday in 3 phases

We are not switching over all at once, but step by step and in a controlled manner across 3 phases to minimise risks. This ensures trading continues and buyers are well prepared.

  • Phase 1: preparation of all accounts and settings in Floriday
  • Phase 2: the technology behind KOA is transferred to Floriday; bidding still takes place via KOA
  • Phase 3: purchasing and marking will be transferred to the apps on Floriday

Prepare for auctioning via Floriday

In the coming period, all administrators in Floriday (main users per organisation) will receive further information on the specific steps required of them. The most important thing in phase 1 is that all buyers have a personal Floriday account and that this is linked to a KOA workspace.

Effective guidance and support

We understand that working with new systems can raise questions. That is why we provide effective guidance, clear step-by-step explanations and appropriate support. Together, we will ensure that everyone is well prepared and can work with confidence in the Floriday auction apps in the future.

Visit the dedicated website, where you will always find the latest information and the detailed step-by-step guide.
