Standardization of lot numbering for Plants Aalsmeer started07 March 2019
Royal FloraHolland is going to digitize and standardize all logistic processes in Naaldwijk, Aalsmeer and Rijnsburg. Regardless of which location you use, our logistics approach will be the same everywhere.
This enables us to offer reliable services and thereby reinforce our marketplace. These process changes also have an impact on the way in which we work with you.
Lot numbering Plants Aalsmeer
On 18 February 2019 we started with the standardization of lot numbering at the unloading of Plants at Aalsmeer. When delivering several different lots, you should use numbers (1234) to indicate where one lot ends and the next lot begins. We check the supply every day.
Rectifying errors costs money
Do you still use letters (ABCD) instead of numbers? At present we rectify this for you free of charge and inform you by telephone. However, these extra actions cost time and money. That is why from 18 March 2019 we will charge €10 to rectify this error. This ensures a fair division of costs within the cooperative.
Standardized logistic processes at all locations
Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk and Rijnsburg now use numbers for the unloading of Plants. At a later stage, lot numbering will be implemented for Flowers Aalsmeer too. Flowers will then be processed in the same way at all locations Do you want to know exactly how lot numbering works? Please read the supply regulations (3.4.1).
