Pilot members council: in dialogue with all members25 January 2018
How can we get greater involvement and influence of our members on crucial themes? How can we arrange the control structure? And how can we promote the auction clock as a tool, and how do we keep it affordable?
The control structure was discussed during the interactive
sessions of the Cooperative 2020 programme. The sessions showed
that 80% of the present members believed that the control and
influence of the members could be improved. The opinions were
divided on the form and structure. This was the reason to start the
pilot members council. We will find out together whether this
methodology will be successful or not.
Consultation session: in dialogue with you
This year, we will hold three rounds of consultation sessions in the pilot. We are pleased to invite you to these sessions. They will allow us to discuss the desired member input and involvement, the mandate and the possibilities of an emergency brake in the potential members council. Another topic of discussion is the auction clock. With the new membership and rates structure, there is a need to look at strengthening the auction clock and keeping it affordable.
The first consultation sessions will be held between 15 February and 8 March 2018.
