Vote for Floriday for the Computable Awards05 July 2018
The specialist ICT journal Computable nominated Floriday for the Computable Awards 2018. The jury praised Royal FloraHolland for its application of new technology and modern architectural principles. It considers making strategic choices and carrying out fundamental changes as essential for this sort of digital transformation.
From 5 July 2018 the public is also allowed to vote for the Computable Awards. Their vote determines 50% of the choice of winner. The nominees are judged by an expert jury, and the average of their decision determines the other half. On 30 October 2018 the winners will be announced.

Digital first strategy
In just roughly one year, Royal FloraHolland has rearranged its organisation, both business and IT, and invested heavily in digital renewal. There is now a 'digital-first' strategy centred around the digital platform Floriday, supplemented with logistical and financial services. To realise this, close collaboration is necessary with growers and customers, according to Gerhard van der Bijl.
Computable received a total of 46 nominations in the category 'ICT-project of the Year in Big Business'. Along with Floriday there are projects at Atradius, Schiphol, Feenstra and De Watergroep. Computable.nl is a specialist ICT journal and platform for ICT professionals, with daily ICT news, background articles and expert opinions.
