Annual report for 2016: one step closer to our joint aims for 202018 April 2017
“We are well on our way to realising our aims for 2020. Better margins for our members and their buyers. And more consumers buying more flowers and plants.”
This is what Lucas Vos confirmed in the press presentation on the annual report for 2016.
Sustainability in the annual report
"I am delighted to see how our members and their buyers are implementing sustainability and developing sustainable initiatives and concepts. Given our unique role, we are able to support them in their efforts as the representative of the horticultural sector in contact with the government, NGOs and retailers. The aim is make agreements that lead to the sector becoming more sustainable step by step. I am convinced that horticultural products will be increasingly embraced by consumers as part of a sustainable and healthy lifestyle," added Lucas Vos.
This year, sustainability became an integral part of the Royal FloraHolland annual report for the first time. In the section on sustainability, we explain what our aims are in terms of sustainability, and how we intend to achieve them together with you.
