Two-day Members' Council February 2026: deepening and connecting
February 18, 2026
Just before Valentine's Day, on February 11 and 12, the Members' Council held another two-day meeting. Members' Council members from the Netherlands, Germany, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Israel were present. A very diverse group that reflects the membership. Since January 1, the Members' Council has consisted of a total of 42 members. After a welcome, the seven new Members' Council members received their honorary RFH Members' Council pins.
The first day consisted mainly of in-depth sessions. Substantive discussions were held about a code of conduct. This is a follow-up to earlier discussions with the Members' Council. The Members' Council has given clear signals about, among other things, the scope and reach of a code of conduct. A code of conduct will be further developed with the cooperative committee and discussed again with the entire Members' Council during the Members' Council meeting in March. This topic will also be discussed again during the member sessions in April.
In 2025, we also started exploring possible adjustments to the current rate system. A sounding board group was set up from the Members' Council for this purpose. The sounding board group and the entire Members' Council held several discussions and the signals gathered from the member sessions in November 2025 were analyzed in more detail. During the two-day meeting, there was another in-depth discussion with the entire Members' Council based on all this input (feedback). The proposal for a rate adjustment from the company will be discussed at the Members' Council meeting in March.
On day two, the focus was mainly on the connecting part. During updates from the executive board (company) and the supervisory board, the Members' Council was brought up to date on the most recent topics. In the afternoon, the Members' Council divided into groups to discuss various topics with Marcel van der Lugt, Chairman of the Members' Council (Effective Members' Council), David van Mechelen, CEO a.i. (Strategy 2030), and André van der Linden, CIO (Floriday).
It was two wonderful and intensive days with good substantive discussions, during which the new members felt very welcome. It also became clear once again that we all have the best interests of our cooperative at heart.
