Moving towards a standard, scalable labelling process for the floriculture sector
February 3, 2026
On 14 January, growers and buyers met with Floriday and Plantform again for a joint session looking at how to use labels in their business. At this third meeting, major steps were taken towards a standard, future-proof and scalable labelling process, with initial focus on the plant business.
The joint sessions looked at how to standardise the labelling process even further, how to share information sooner and more consistently, and at the role Floriday plays in this as a digital platform. This helps with greater efficiency across the supply chain and improved support for logistics processes.
Key agreements were reached on:
- when label information is delivered,
- standardising formats,
- technical framework for financial accounting,
- and joint quality requirements for labels.
These agreements lay the foundations for further digitisation and efficiency in the chain. Floriday will work out the technical aspects and test them with partners in the market, followed by a phased rollout.
If you would like to find out what this means specifically for you as a grower or buyer, and what decisions were made, then please read the full news article on Floriday, where all agreements and follow-up action are explained in detail.
And don't forget to sign up for the Floriday newsletter (grower newsletter / buyer newsletter). We will keep you updated there on progress with the rollout of the labelling process.
