Select Delivery Hub to Hub - the first time slot for buyers in Aalsmeer

We are reorganising our logistics and moving towards a uniform operation at all hubs. Step by step, we are transitioning from distributing to order picking and to time-slot deliveries. This gives buyers increasing influence over the delivery timing of the products they purchase. All buyers in Rijnsburg and Naaldwijk are already using time slots. From now on, buyers in Aalsmeer can also take advantage of a first time slot: Select Delivery Hub to Hub . This ensures early delivery of flowers and plants bought in Naaldwijk and Rijnsburg, even if you are based at another hub.
Always delivered to the right hub
WithSelect Delivery, you decide your delivery time. You can choose from various time slots and more are being added all the time. Until now, we’ve delivered your purchases to the hub where they were auctioned. With Select Delivery Hub to Hub, it doesn’t matter which hub you bought from. You will receive your flowers or plants at your established hub by 12:00/13:00* at the latest.
How Select Delivery Hub to Hub works
1) Contact the Customer Contact Centre. We will then get in touch with you to discuss the options.
2) Together, we activate Select Delivery Hub to Hub for your chosen hub and buyer card. In addition, you can differentiate between flowers and plants.
3) You buy through Auction presales or the Clock in Rijnsburg/Naaldwijk (a hub where we do order picking).
4) Royal FloraHolland ensures you receive your purchases before 12:00/13:00* at your chosen hub (Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk or Rijnsburg).
You pay for Select Delivery Hub to Hub per container transported on the auction trolley. Prices vary by container. If you are buying a full auction trolley/pallet pick, you do not pay per container but €15.65 for a full auction trolley/pallet pick (excluding diesel surcharge).
Floriway as a partner
Select Delivery Hub to Hub has been developed by Royal FloraHolland in collaboration with Floriway. Floriway handles the transport for this new time slot and assists in further optimising logistics from the nursery to the buyer's back door. Based on data, we work together to organise transport as efficiently as possible to minimise CO2 emissions.
The next step
We started this time slot with a small group of buyers and tested it extensively with them. We learned from this and optimised the service, so we are now ready to scale up further.
At this moment, you can use the time slot for all products purchased in Rijnsburg and Naaldwijk. When we start order picking in Aalsmeer, we will also be able to transport products from Aalsmeer to the other hubs. By engaging with buyers, we remain aware of any additional needs and preferences on other routes.
