Members Engagement Committee visits Studieclub Noordwijkerhout

On 11 April 2023, Jelle van der Kroft and Jan van Paridon from the Members Engagement Committee, joined a study club meeting in the evening at Firma de Groot's nursery in Noordwijkerhout. Read their report below.

Jelle van der Kroft: "This study club consists of very committed members. There was a turnout of just under 20 people on this evening. The Members Engagement Committee believes it is important to connect with our members. What’s going on with our members? What’s on their minds? As a committee, we take note of the answers to these questions and share these signals with the Members' Council and Royal FloraHolland. We believe it is important for members to feel heard and warmly invite study and other clubs to brainstorm with us if there is a need to do so.

On this evening, we talked about all kinds of current issues that play a role in our sector, such as compulsory certification and the legal position of growers, but also about matters directly related to Royal FloraHolland, such as Floriway, Floriday, packaging unit inspections, One Auction, communication, peak periods, and of course about the 'Together in the Cooperative' process that is so important to our cooperative. It was a packed evening, full of ideas, opportunities and possibilities. As a committee, we are very happy to be able hold discussions with fellow growers in our cooperative in this way.
