Voice your opinion: Member sessions about types of membership04 February 2020
Between 16 and 26 March 2020 and in May, the Members' Council is organising a new round of member sessions throughout the Netherlands, in Belgium, Germany, Kenya, Ethiopia and Israel. The central theme is membership. Join us to voice your opinion about a new Royal FloraHolland membership model for 2021 and beyond!
Why a new membership model?
There are three reasons why Royal FloraHolland, together with members and suppliers, is working on a new membership model:
- a changing market,
- to ensure that our cooperative remains strong,
- because a new strategy offers new opportunities.
The new membership model should be suitable for the different types of growers, take into account specific needs and interests, and accommodate new Royal FloraHolland services.
What does the new strategy mean for the membership of tomorrow?
The market around us is changing. In order to respond to this change as effectively as possible, Royal FloraHolland's strategy is to develop our marketplace into a digital platform. This offers the basis for smart logistics with 24/7 delivery, on demand and in small quantities. It offers opportunities to develop new markets in any given region of the world. And it offers new opportunities to unburden growers through new services in deal making, logistics and financial processing, such as national auctioning, delivery from stock and international payments. But not all growers are the same and not all growers have the same needs. Time for a new membership model.
Your opinion matters!
The Members' Council would like to give all members a chance to discuss and share their views on future membership models. There will be two occasions this year to do so: during the member sessions in March (international: May) and during the theme sessions in May/June. So, would you like to join the discussion from the outset? Make sure you are present. Discuss how the membership remains sufficiently attractive for you as grower and which benefits you expect as a member of Royal FloraHolland. Your input is indispensable to devising a new membership model together - a model that ensures both grower and buyer loyalty to the marketplace.
