Nationwide Auctioning Cut Anthurium pilot: initial results
11 September 2020
On Thursday 3 September 2020, the Nationwide Auctioning pilot started. Cut anthurium is the first product group for this pilot. With the pilot we want to harmonise aspects of auctioning, such as a single auction time for a product group and pressing a button for volumes. We will also review parts of our logistics services, such as transport between locations. How did the first week go?
During the pilot, Royal FloraHolland will handle the transport of the purchased products between our locations. It will do so for all locations. Meanwhile, logistics are also running according to the standard agreed upon. On Thursday, Friday and Monday, we delivered the products to the buyers well before 12:00 noon. Last Tuesday and Wednesday, it was even before 11:00.
About the Nationwide Auctioning Pilot
The Nationwide Auctioning Cut Anthurium pilot starts at 7.10 a.m. on Clock 6. We auction off the supply from Aalsmeer and Naaldwijk consecutively. In order to be able to purchase on this nationwide clock, you must take in to account settings that have been changed in your Remote Buying (KOA) environment. Do you have any questions about this? If so, please read our frequently asked questions on our website or contact the KOA helpdesk.
The first phase of the cut anthurium pilot will last eight weeks. During the pilot, we will determine if and when we will expand with other product groups. We will evaluate the pilot after two and eight weeks respectively.
