Introducing the Crisis Recovery Coordination Team (CRCT)12 June 2020
From the moment the corona crisis first hit Europe, Royal FloraHolland's Crisis Management Team (CMT) has been meeting almost every day in order to be able to react quickly to acute developments. Now that the market is somewhat recovering, at the beginning of this month the CMT was transformed into the Crisis Recovery Coordination Team (CRCT).
The CRCT is headed by CCO Ruud Knorr and was set up temporarily to assess the impact of the corona crisis on our (strategic) goals, adjust where possible or even accelerate. However, perhaps more is needed and that's why the team will determine how to be able to serve you again as quickly and as best as possible.
There are three overarching areas that will be our focus in the coming period, they are; Operations, Commercial and Office environments.
The primary goal of the Commercial Recovery Team is to get our commercial activities back on track as soon as possible. This includes visiting customers, but also improving our customer contact approach, developing new services and restarting sales campaigns. In addition, this team is looking at what a lasting effect this crisis is having on the market. Opportunities in the market are inventoried and matters that contribute to an improvement of the service for our growers and buyers are prioritized and taken up.
The Operations Recovery Team focuses on the quality of our Logistics Services. We structurally strengthen the logistic processes at all locations in order to shorten lead times and expected end times. Logistic processes have recently been adjusted to comply with RIVM guidelines. In particular, the guideline to keep a distance of 1.5 metres from each other requires far-reaching changes. This team remains committed to providing you with a better service every day. The safety of customers and our employees is of paramount importance.
Of course, Royal FloraHolland is also looking at how the office environment can be adapted to comply with RIVM guidelines. This has consequences for our office staff, for example, who will be working from home as much as possible until 1st July. These are points for the Recovery Team Office Environment.
The CRCT will be in force temporarily. The actions from the three focus areas will be incorporated into the regular company structure of Royal FloraHolland as soon as possible.
