We see that trade is slowly recovering and volumes are moving towards the ‘usual’ level again. In particular, the number of transactions has increased, as well as the density.
In order to ensure that Royal FloraHolland can deliver the
products in time - via the processes adjusted to a distance of 1.5
metres - we are going to auction flowers and plants 1 hour earlier
after all on two days. The early auction days are Monday 25 May and
Tuesday 2 June 2020.
We will be doing this at our locations Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk and
Rijnsburg. What does auctioning earlier mean for you?
What does auctioning earlier mean for you as a grower?
- Flowers and plants can be supplied until 3:00 am. Discuss the different transport times with your transporter.
- The auction for flowers and plants starts one hour earlier, at 5:00 am.Please note: Aalsmeer plants starts at 5:30 am.
- Clock sales and direct sales may possibly be delivered to your customer one hour earlier.
- Clock Presales will also end one hour earlier for flowers and plants, at 4:55 am
- Royal FloraHolland will be open on Sunday 24 May 2020 at 6:00 pm (instead of 7:00 pm) for the supply of flowers and plants and for the collection of Packaging.
- Packaging can be collected on Monday 25 May 2020 at 5:00 am instead of 6:00 am.
What does auctioning earlier mean for you as a buyer?
- Open your box one hour earlier and activate all facilities.
- Inform your 'Remote Buying' (KOA) customers too.
- Discuss with your transporter the possibility of transporting products earlier.
- You can start viewing flowers and plants earlier.
- Clock Presales will also end one hour earlier for flowers and plants, at 4:55 am.
