Ruud Knorr new Chief Commercial Officer Royal FloraHolland, Yme Pasma is leaving as COO02 March 2020
Ruud Knorr was appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Royal FloraHolland with effect from 1 April. As CCO he is also a member of the Management Team of Royal FloraHolland.
Ruud Knorr (52) has more than 25 years of experience in the floriculture sector. He was Business Unit Manager at Landgard, Managing Director Auction Rhein-Maas (2011-2016) and since 2017 Division Director Retail and Plants and member of the Executive Committee of Dutch Flower Group.
A lot of knowledge and experience in the floriculture sector
CEO Steven van Schilfgaarde: "With the arrival of Ruud we have gained a lot of knowledge and experience in the floriculture sector. This applies to the domestic market as well as internationally. He knows Royal FloraHolland from the inside out as director of VRM, our joint venture with Landgard. His experience on the customer side, in the centre of the floriculture sector, is of great value to us in implementing our strategy. And Ruud obviously brings a new source of knowledge of the sector to our MT".
Ruud Knorr: "The beauty of the floriculture sector is that there is pride and entrepreneurship. Royal FloraHolland has traditionally had a unique position in this area. I look forward to making a contribution to strengthening floriculture as a whole and Royal FloraHolland in particular. The emotion that flowers and plants bring with them and the technology that makes a leading digital ecosystem possible are a challenging combination for me. The digital ecosystem makes it possible to maintain and even expand the Netherlands' leading role in international floriculture."
Ruud Knorr is the successor to Fedor Hoevenaars, who fulfilled the role of CCO on an interim basis. Royal FloraHolland thanks Fedor for his passion, his drive to work together and the way he helped shape the commercial organisation.
Yme Pasma will leave as Chief Operations Officer
Yme Pasma will leave as Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Royal
FloraHolland on May 1 2020. In recent years Yme Pasma has put the
operational performance of RFH in order. Turnaround times and end
times have greatly improved. The coming years will be dominated by
the implementation of new digital, logistic and financial services
for the floriculture sector, with which we will relieve our growers
of their worries and provide tailor-made solutions for our buyers
so that they can grow along with developments in the market. Yme
and his team have developed the logistics strategy for this, which
will be implemented in the coming years.
Yme has chosen to continue his career elsewhere. The management of Royal FloraHolland thanks Yme for his contribution and regrets that he is leaving. Recruitment for a new COO has already started.
