Trolley rental for internal use scheme
The Trolley rental for internal use scheme (SIG) ensures that the users of trolleys inside the locations of Royal FloraHolland and Veiling Rhein-Maas (VRM) contribute to the cost of maintaining the trolley pool. In addition, this scheme also supports the availability of trolleys during the peak period.
The scheme applies to everyone who has or rents a box at a Royal FloraHolland location and makes use of trolleys. It consists of two parts:
- Box contract
Every user concludes a contract with us for the use of trolleys. You pay a fixed amount per trolley. The contract is based on your average use.
- Internal overnight rental
In the peak period, there are 20 to 25 nights when we anticipate we shall be imposing an additional surcharge. We can also impose this surcharge in the peak period outside these specified nights if there is a shortage of trolleys. The surcharge applies per peak night per trolley that you are using in excess of the number specified in your box contract.
You are responsible for concluding a box contract and for cooperating with making trolleys available. We check this by periodically counting the trolleys.
Tightly Loaded on Predetermined Peak Days
On predetermined 2020 peak days, we will load auction trolleys as much as we possibly can during the distribution processes in Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk and Rijnsburg. On the internal overnight rental calendar can be found which days this concerns.
We will be loading trolleys of both flowers and pot plants more tightly than is usual before they leave the distribution area for delivery. This will mean that far fewer trolleys will be required for the distribution process.
