Due to increasing digitalisation of our own marketplace and the overall floriculture sector, we are also facing more and more cyber incidents within the floriculture sector. The number of cyberattacks is on the rise and this could have a significant impact on the entire industry. More than 50% of all organisations will become victims of cybercrime. Royal FloraHolland's goal is to increase the digital resilience of our own marketplace but also the entire floriculture sector.
How do we ensure a digitally secure marketplace?
Increasing internal awareness
An important part of the measures taken is investing in the awareness of all employees as, after all, many security incidents start by someone clicking on a link in an email. The regular campaigning we do is paying off.
Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure
We do our utmost to ensure that our systems are safe with a high level of security. Through our Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure policy (responsible disclosure), we encourage, anyone who discovers of weaknesses and vulnerabilities to report them to us. If you find and report a weak spot, we pay out a reward. This helps us to take appropriate measures to fix the vulnerability found quickly. Read more about our Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure.
Partner of the Cyber Resilience Centre Greenport
Due to supply chain dependency (supply, cultivation, trade), the whole sector suffers if one of the partners cannot deliver due to a cyber incident. Increasing cyber resilience within floriculture is thus an issue where everyone must play their part. In this, awareness among growers, buyers and suppliers is crucial. In order to play its part, RFH is one of the initiators of the Cyber Resilience Centre Greenport. This initiative is committed to a digitally secure horticulture cluster. Working with other parties lets us raise awareness and knowledge. Member organisations are supported with the improving of their cybersecurity, including through advice, being able to attend cybercafés, availability of experts and threat information that will make the whole chain more resistant to attacks by cyber criminals. As we are a partner of the Cyber Resilience Centre Greenport, we have a special offer for growers and buyers affiliated with Royal FloraHolland. Meet the Royal FloraHolland cyber subscription, the key to digital security.
