Help with certification

Discover the resources available to help you with certification.

Because Royal FloraHolland considers it important that all member-suppliers and growers are able to obtain certification, we have made a number of adjustments to our support options. You can find out which ones apply to you on this page.

To be certified according to the FSI requirements, you need:

  • An Environmental Certificate, a GAP Certificate, and—if applicable—a Social Certificate.
  • Or MPS-Compact or FloriCompact for small-scale growers

The step-by-step plans below outline the phases you need to go through to be certified according to the Environmental and GAP pillars or the small-scale grower certification.

How to get started with certification

In this video, you will discover which certificates you need to comply with FSI requirements. In addition, the GAP step-by-step plan is reviewed and explained in detail.

Support for small-scale growers

Supporting documents for small-scale growers are available on the website of the Dutch Flower Auction Association. These documents consist of a checklist to help prepare for the audit/certification and sample documents for the GAP section.

Workshops

RFH has organized workshops to support members with the certification process, both for the regular process and for small-scale growers. These workshops have taken place in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and online. New workshops on certification can be found under events.

Financial compensation

Small-scale members in the Auction Focus package receive a €250* allowance towards the costs of certification according to FSI requirements for floriculture turnover up to €250,000 (*note: This is a one-off allowance of €250 until July 1, 2027, if they can demonstrate that they meet the FSI requirements).

Exit scheme

Members and captains who wish to cease their business within two years of the certification date applicable to them can make use of the exit scheme. These growers are exempt from the certification requirement. Growers use the exit scheme to arrange their early deregistration from Royal FloraHolland.
