One of the next steps to take after stopping the ‘non-members can't auction unless’ pilot is arranging supply agreements with contract suppliers. The policy will also be tightened to prevent supply excesses at the clock.
The underlying idea is that FloraHolland is an open marketplace with as attractive an assortment as possible and a good, stable price-setting. This stimulates the purchasing power. To achieve this and prevent an unpredictable supply influencing the price-setting at the clock, we have established two actions:
- Arranging supply agreements with all contract suppliers about the assortment, quantities to be supplied and regularity. These supply agreements will be arranged in phases throughout 2015 with all contract suppliers. Any agreements made in the pilot in 2014 will be extended or, if necessary, revised.
- Preventing supply excesses by taking steps when unexpected, non-structural supply arrives outside the regular supply pattern. We are looking at what measures are required and shall test them with the FPCs where this is currently an issue.
The FPCs act as advisors to the process for both measures.
