Sustainable production and marketplace
Royal FloraHolland’s sustainability mission is a future-proof floriculture industry in which flowers and plants are grown and traded with respect for people and the environment.

As a company, Royal FloraHolland is responsible for increasing the sustainability of its own operations and processes. We operate in the floriculture chain, in which we mostly have a facilitating and directing role. The primary process, the members and our customers are central to this. Together with its members, customers and chain partners, Royal FloraHolland is realizing a sustainable supply tailored to the market demand.
From acting sustainably to being sustainable
The transition from acting sustainably to being sustainable involves the consultation of and cooperation between the company, the cooperative and the stakeholders in the floriculture sector. The Members' Council and the Sustainability Leading Team, on behalf of the members, are contributing ideas at a strategic level, and the FloraHolland Product Committees (FPCs) are contributing ideas about feasibility and the practical implementation.
Increased sustainability provides opportunities
The demand for sustainable products is on the rise. Growers distinguish themselves by responding to this market demand. Certification offers them a chance to belong to the 'preferred suppliers' of large exporters and their retail customers. We want to offer sustainable products on the Royal FloraHolland marketplace. And we want to take the lead in providing transparent and reliable product and supply information, including in the field of sustainability.
Sustainable Development Goals
