Appointment and resignation; how does it work?
As of 1 January 2020, the Members' Council will consist of 42 members. Every year, new members are appointed. Existing members will resign according to the Retirement Schedule.
Members are appointed for a period of four years. They can then be reappointed for another four years. A retirement schedule has been drawn up to ensure that the entire Members' Council does not suddenly consist of new faces. In this way, the inflow and outflow will be evenly distributed over the coming years. New members are appointed every year. Existing members resign according to the Retirement Schedule. Members can, of course, also choose to resign earlier. The basic principle remains that the Members' Council consists of 35 to 45 members and is a good reflection of the number of members.
